Session Dates: 2/7, 2/14, 2/21, 2/28, 3/7

Social Justice seems to be the buzz word of 2017. But, are you actually aware of pertinent social justice topics beyond the mainstream news headlines? Immerse yourself in someone else's perspective by watching documentaries on various topics followed by an informal discussion intended to challenge you and expose you to aspects of life as lived by others.

Topics are as followed:

Global Working Conditions
Child Labor
Human Trafficking in the US
Mass Incarceration & Racial Equality

LEAD400 is a discussion based series intended to bring awareness to leaders about pertinent social justice topics. It is one of our highest-level leadership series at West Chester University, meant to serve as a capstone for all our leadership programming. In architecture, the keystone is the final piece placed when constructing an arch. This last piece locks all the stones into position, allowing the arch to bear weight. Leaders looking for a unique and challenging series to give the rest of their experiences more meaning should participant in the Keystone Series.

In the spring semester, five sessions will take place on Wednesdays from 4:30 p.m. - 6:30 p.m. in Sykes115. The specific dates are February 7th, February 14th, February 21st, February 28th, and March 7th.

Spots will fill quickly as this is a selective leadership series . This application CLOSES Monday, December 11th. If you have questions, please don't hesitate to contact the three Leadership Consultants in charge of this series, Taylor McCahan, Angelique Geronimo, and Amanda Lee. Or, contact Charlie Warner at cwarner@wcupa.edu.
