2012-2013 Leadership Consultant Search Process

The Leadership Consultant role is to serve as a resource for any student or student group that is looking for information regarding leadership issues. Staffing the Leadership Resource Center, they have over 2000 periodicals, books, and articles as well as hundreds of handouts available for student leaders, faculty or staff to check out and use. Each Leadership Consultant is “in charge” of communicating with a section of our recognized student organizations listing. Leadership Consultants are available to present on a variety of topics to individual student groups and organizations. Funding for the Leadership Consultant position is given generously by the Student Government Association.

APPLICATION DEADLINE IS MONDAY, FEBRUARY 20, 2012

Application Instructions:

  • Applications are officially available on Monday, December 12, 2011.
  • Any and all dates listed must be kept available to be considered for the position. 
  • The dates are as follows:
    • The request for your final copy of your Co-Curricular Portfolio must be made by Wednesday, February 1, 2012. Instructions for completing your CCP can be found HERE.
    • Interview Dates: Friday, February 25, 2012 & Saturday, March 3, 2012.  *Must be available for a 30 minute interview on one of these days.
      • Once you have submitted your application, you will need to contact the Student Affairs front desk to schedule your interview time.  You can call 610-436-2117 or stop by Sykes Room 238.  You must schedule your interview by the same day the application is due (February 20, 2012)
    • Notification of Advancement: Applicant's will receive a letter notifying them that they have made it to the Group Process Round by Friday, March 9th 2012.
    • Group Process Round: Saturday, March 24, 2012, 10:00am-1:00pm. Candidates MUST be able to attend Group Process Round in order to be considered for employment.
    • Notification of Selection: All applicants will be notified regarding selection by Monday, March 26, 2012.

Helpful Suggestions:

  1. Talk to a current LC about their role and what to expect...
  2. Allow for as much time as possible to complete your CCP.  It is a quick turnaround time once we have returned from winter break.
  3. If you don't know how to use OrgSync, its a good idea to figure out the basics before the interview.
