Off-Campus Involvement:
I am an active member of the NAEMT (National Association of Emergency Medical Technicians). I serve as the State Advocacy Coordinator for Pennsylvania.
Additionally, I volunteer with the Boy Scouts of America, serving as a Unit Commissioner. I have also been working for the local Learning for Life chapter to attempt to build a more active Explorer program within Chester County.

About Frank |
|
I started as a student in 1992 and have been here ever since. In 1995 I started working full time at the Academic Computing Center and later moved to networking & communications group managing servers and information security.
My EMS life began around 1994 when I took the EMT-B class at Good Fellowship Ambulance. I also joined with WCU-EMS around that same time. Around 2001 or 2002, I took over as the staff advisor to WCU-EMS. I also teach new EMTs in the county as well as CPR classes on campus.

About Jamie |
|
I am Currently a student here at WCU. As of now I am Undecided but I am leaning toward Criminal Justice.
I started with Fire and EMS in June of 2009 as a firefighter for Lionville Fire Company. I decided I should probably train to be an EMT-B while I was younger so that I would have time for Fire classes once I turned 18. I ended up liking EMS a lot more then I thought and joined the Good Fellowship Ambulance Club (GFAC) where I have since been given a paid job as an EMT.
Once I came to West Chester I knew that I wouldn't be home enough to make calls so I joined the Goodwill Fire Co. and being that the WCU-EMS chief was one of my partners at GFAC I joined the QRS as well.
Since my starting I have received certifications in EMS, Fire, Vehicle and Water Rescue, Hazmat, Incident Command, and EVOC.
I also am a member of the Boy Scouts of America and I am an Eagle Scout.
I hope to someday be a Paid FF/EMT. I also want to someday own my own farm.

About Mike |
|
I'm a full time student at West Chester with a Major in Criminal Justice. I'm a Fire Fighter and EMT and Goshen Fire Co., Good Fellowship Ambulance Co., and the QRS 58 for WCU.
I work part-time as an EMT for Chester County and also I teach trauma for EMT's at Department of Emergency Services. During the summer time I work for the OCPD as an officer.
I've also been in Army ROTC along with other extra curricular activities. I hope to go to Paramedic School in the near future. Why do I do this? Cause in todays world there's not too many people who are willing to step up to the job and make a difference. Do your job and don't try to be a hero... hero's go home in body bags!

About Branden |
|
I am currently a student at West Chester University enrolled in the Criminal Justice program. 2010/2011 was my first year on campus.
I started in the emergency services in 2008 when I became a firefighter at Trappe Fire Company in Trappe, Pa Montgomery County. As soon as I started, I immediately began to develop a great passion for the emergency services. In 2009 I was a part of and passed the EMT Basic class at Trappe Fire Company through Montgomery County. I began volunteering my time on the ambulance running 9-1-1 Emergent calls even before becoming an EMT. Currently, I am a fully cleared Firefighter/EMT for Trappe Fire Company.
As of the fall of 2010, I became a member of Fame Fire Company in West Chester and West Chester University EMS. Currently I hold third class firefighter status at Fame Fire Co. and I am a primary EMT with West Chester University EMS. As of fall 2011 I also run with Good Fellowship Ambulance Company (GFAC).
I train very frequently to assure that the members of my community are receiving the best possible services (Fire or EMS) that I can provide. My EMS certifications include: EMT-B, Vehicle Rescue Tech, Technical Rescue, CPR, AED, Incident Command Training, Hazmat, and EVOC.
My plans for the future are to stay in West Chester and work in an emergency management or fire service career and become a fire company officer.
