• 01-25-2012: WCU-EMS Would Like To Help Support The WCFD In Their Fight Against A Member's Cancer!

  Though this does not have to do with us here at the QRS we would like it if all of our friends out there could please help to support the West Chester Fire Department in their fight against cancer! Firefighter Jimmy Graham who is a long time active member of the Good Will Fire Company of West Chester was just diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. So the Good Will is hosting a beef and beer to try and raise money for his treatments. We are not sure as of now what stage the cancer is but no matter how bad he is obviously going to be having a lot of emotional and financial trouble. If anyone would be able to come and support the cause it will be febuary 18th at 6 pm at the Good Will. Tickets are $30 in advance or $35 at the door. There will be food, beer, music, and raffles. If anyone would like a ticket email jimgrahamfund@gmail.com or go to goodwillfireco.org. Please come out for a good time to help a local guy who has been helping everyone else for 24 years.

• 01-05-2012: WCU-EMS Welcomes The New Year

  The members of QRS 58 would like to wish everyone a Happy New Year and hope that everyone has a safe and educational year.

• 12-18-2011: Congrats Graduates

  WCU-EMS would like to congratulate all the graduates of the fall of 2011. Of those graduates is WCFD's own Andrew Rychlak. Congrats to him and his fellow graduates from the crew of the QRS.

• 11-01-2011: Members Complete Various Trainings

  As stated before one of members (EMT J. Roche) who was going through Firefighter I has successfully completed the practical portion of his National test. Best of luck to him as he awaits the results of the written portion as well as with his up coming Vehicle Rescue (VRT) and Water Rescue (Boat Ops) Training.  Also Training Officer (EMT B. Sisca)  has just completed his Firefighter II, Core Rescue and Rope Rescue Technician training. Although we just run EMS here we still would like to congratulate our members on their achievements and wish all good luck with future endeavours. 

• 10-04-2011: WCU EMS Responds to a Vehicle Accident on High Street

  QRS-58 responded to a vehicle accident with unknown injuries on high street in front of the college arms apartments.  EMS was dispatched via a third party caller.  Upon arrival EMS found two patients both of whom did not require any medical care.  QRS-58 remained on scene until the accident was clear.

  WCU EMS is now taking advantage of the new web site engine provided by Org-Sync. By viewing this page, you'll find information about upcoming events for EMS as well as crews, and important links outside of WCU.

• 04-13-2011: WCU EMS Uses OrgSync!

  West Chester University Emergency Medical Services is slowly adopting the new OrgSync.com web service that has been provided by Student Affairs. It allows EMS to be an internal website (similar to Facebook), manage events, service hours, as well as manage the public website.
